Dental Mavericks (DM) is a charitable dental relief organisation registered in the United Kingdom. With ongoing operations in Morocco and Lebanon, supporting vulnerable communities.
Since 2010, the central goal and mission of Dental Mavericks. Has focused on making dental care accessible to vulnerable populations deprived of it, and more broadly, promoting oral hygiene education and practice.
Our priority is to address root causes and take people out of dental pain. In all areas of Dental Mavericks activities, we champion an ethos of high-quality care that is patient-led and dignified.
At Lily Head Dental Practice Sales we are proud to be supporting our friend Richard Howarth on his 1000 mile bike ride from Lands End to John O’Groats which started on 20th May 2021.
Richard explains how he is feeling about the upcoming challenge and his motivation to get to the finish.

Under the careful coaching of Lottie my dog I have doggedly stuck to my training plan over the last 20 weeks and I BELIEVE I can cycle the circa 1000 miles from Lands’ End north to John O’Groats.
It is now time to test my BODY!
I leave on Wednesday 19th May 2021 for Cornwall and start, judging by the current weather forecast in torrential rain on Thursday morning.
Using this challenge to highlight the great work TheDentalMavericks Charity does is an added privilege. When I reach my £5,000 target I can ensure that their dental clinics for example in Lebanon will remain open for 5 months treating poor Lebanese and Syrian refugees.
