We had an open discussion about where dental practice values have been and the factors which will continue to determine the value of a dental practice.
What current demand is like and the extra work buyers will have to do in order to get their funding approved.
Most interesting was that Alun told me he sold his dental practice 15 years ago on the strength of a handshake. But that he would always recommend dentists employ a specialist dental practice broker now because it took 2 years to complete and you never really know if you negotiated the best outcome.
There are buyers out there having a ‘punt’. That is their prerogative but we do educate those buyers to understand where the value of a dental practice is.
